Magnetic Klingon Badge (8mm magnets)

<p>After seeing my remix of the Star Trek Com Badge, a friend asked me for a Klingon badge. I used the same 8mm magnets (they measure about 8mm x 2.7mm). I've tried to not cut tolerances too tight. I used supports for this, but that may not be necessary for most printers.</p></div> Post-Printing ============= <p>Carefully insert the Inset into the Badge - no glue should be necessary, it should be snug but not too snug (I hope). Use CA glue to affix the magnets if necessary.</p> <h3>How I Designed This</h3> <p>I found an SVG of the general design. I brought the SVG into Affinity Designer (into a 96 dpi document) to set the correct size and simplify the design for my purposes. I exported that SVG. I brought that export into Fusion 360.</p> <p>I re-drew the model based on the SVG, improving wall thicknesses and fixing some lines that should be parallel.</p> </p></p></p> Category: Props
