Magnetic Key Organizer
thingiverse
I liked the concept of some of the other key holders available on this site, but none of them exactly met my requirements. I created this key holder and magnetic dock from scratch. It relies on M3 screws and nuts to keep everything together, and neodymium magnets to connect to the dock. The dock sticks to the wall with a large-sized command strip (5lbs works well). You need: 1. Print the parts 2. Magnets: 8x 6mm x 3mm neodymium magnets (available at https://www.ebay.com/itm/30Pcs-6x3mm-N52-Super-Strong-Disc-Blocks-Rare-Earth-Neodymium-Magnets-high/332966322368?hash=item4d8656e0c0:g:mjkAAOSwIUVcGztr) 3. Screws: 3x M3 socket head cap screws (available at most hardware stores) 4. 3M command strip (also available at most hardware stores) 5. Fast-setting super glue Notes: 1. All magnets must be arranged correctly to attract before they are glued in place. Place them all facing the same direction. 2. Glue one magnet at a time. They may try to flip as they repel each other, so using glue that hardens in a minute makes it easier.
