Magnetic Indexed Turntable
thingiverse
This simple turntable uses a standard roller bearing, but includes holes for magnets that can limit its rotation to certain positions. I made this to be able to photograph several prints of the same model in the same way. Place the magnets so they push away from each other, if they attract one of them will attract first, get even stronger attraction, and tilt the turntable. The magnets (and one of the pieces) are dirty because I used a Sharpie to mark the "same" side of the magnets, to make it easier to put them in the right way. The "low" versions have minimal height. They take less material to print, but the magnets are so close together as to make the movement somewhat strong and jerky. The "high" ones are a bit less stable, but have smoother movements because the magnets attract less. Warning: I have only tested the 100mm version.
