Magnetic Cable Receptacle Clip (Two Parts, Simply Snap Together When Printed) to Prevent USB Cables (and Others) from Slipping Down Desk Sides. There are numerous cable guides available, but none meet my requirements: a low-impact design that allows me to utilize desk sides rather than the back. I also considered using a clip-on guide, but chose to experiment with magnets instead. This design features a 10mm x 6mm void in its center. Pause your print before completing the last two layers, lift the print head, insert magnets into the void, and then resume printing. If your extruder is not magnetic, the print will continue uninterrupted. Print both pieces, push them together, ensure magnets are inserted during printing, and then thread cables through the 10mm gap inside a circular opening or the 3mm gap for easier cable passage. For added permanence, glue the two parts together if desired. I expedited finishing to verify compatibility, so please don't judge my sanding or filing skills. I also removed sunken text from the top section due to printing issues with small features on my CoLiDo DIY printer. Print Settings: Printer: CoLiDo DIY Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 20% Notes: Slicer generated 104 layers, magnets are inserted at layer 90. Ensure you catch this before completion!
