Magnetic Holster Clip
thingiverse
I got tired of my handguns sitting on the tiny shelf in my gun safe, and whipped this up to move them onto the inside of the door. The idea is simple, use off the shelf magnets (in this case, 1 1/4" diameter, 1/4" thick with a 1/8" recessed hole) and print a "clip" that a holster loop/clip/etc can be slid over. Modern neodymium magnets will easily hold a handgun like this. Typical magnet: https://www.amazon.com/Neodymium-Magnets-Pull-Capacity-Each/dp/B07MXVY2S4/ref=sr_1_38?dchild=1&keywords=1%2B1%2F4%22%2Bmagnet&qid=1631493651&sr=8-38&th=1 I printed these with enough perimeters so that the clip portion is solid, the base is light infill, doesn't need to be terribly strong. The magnet is attached with a countersunk head M3x8mm screw and nut. Two versions are included, one is 40mm tall, the other is 30mm tall to accommodate narrower belt loops.
