You can attach a pen to a magnetic surface like a fridge using two 8x2mm disc magnets and a holder that is designed for pens with a diameter of 15mm, specifically the Edding 3000. The holes in the holder are intentionally slightly larger than the magnets themselves, which measure 8.4x2.2mm, so you can easily glue them in place using a small drop of superglue.
