Magnetic Hall Sensor LED Strip Switch -- Light up your drawers!
prusaprinters
Light up your drawers!I wanted LED strips to come on when the kitchen drawers open and turn off when they close.I created a circuit with a Hall Effect magnetic sensor and a MOSFET transistor to control the LED strip. I then designed this enclosure to make it compact and easy to install in the drawer frame. Solder the components together first and then assemble, hot solder melts PLA.I plan to write an Instructable to detail my build process when I get time.I attached the switch to the drawer frame and glued a tiny rare earth magnet to the inside of the drawer front. You could use the peel and stick backing to hold up the LEDs but I used "LED Strip Mounting Brackets" https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/138523 for a nice clean looking mount.Print SettingsPrinter Brand:CrealityPrinter: Ender 3Rafts:NoSupports: NoResolution:.12Infill: 20%Filament: TIANSE PLA White Category: Kitchen & Dining
