Magnetic Gopro5 waterproof case for machining (aka coolant safe)
thingiverse
I printed in PETG because I only had that material left, so I used these settings: layer height 0.2mm, 3 layers thick, 240°C for sCience, build plate at 40°C for sCience, speed around 50mm/s, but 80mm/s on the fill, cooling at 40%. Supports were everywhere, with a xy distance of 0.8mm and a y of 0.2mm. The glass is 3" x 3" x 1/2" tempered glass, which won't scratch or crack easily because it's tempered. It was pretty cheap and can be bought online at the big no-box stores like Amazon. The magnetic holder meant for GoPro stuff was also bought on Amazon for around $20. The front side is attached with some bathroom silicone called "silly-con carni" and the back has a recess for an o-ring. I use o-ring stock because it's cheap, you can cut to size, and glue the end of the o-ring with CA glue - it will hold up. The fit is pretty tight, so there's a hole on top to push the glass out with a screwdriver or whatever.
