After acquiring a pair of 0.77oz Elmer's All Purpose Glue Sticks with our TAZ Aerostruders, they remained largely unused as we rarely printed anything requiring flexible materials. I had long resisted using glue for bed adhesion to prevent warping; tape was typically sufficient along with some fairly aggressive build plate leveling. More recently, it has become increasingly difficult to keep PLA parts from warping on our JG Aurora A5's. The glue sticks proved to work beautifully and now I am a believer. Yes, it makes the pieces slightly harder to remove from the plate, but between minor warping (and a bit of the elephant-footing that comes from placing your nozzle too close to the build plate) and needing a little extra prying, it is worth it. A single stick can last you for months and they are widely available anywhere. Speaking of obtaining things anywhere, I do not have any specific details on the magnets used, though they appear fairly common (18mm gets frequently quoted in Amazon listings). The photos of the weights are a test of strength. The magnets can adhere strongly to metal, but they are not designed for load-bearing purposes, so between that aforementioned 0.77 oz glue stick and the approximately 20-30g my slicer indicates the print will weigh, I found some weights from a small scale and attached them to the magnet with no slip or slide.
