I designed this hook/holder for hanging a loofah or rag in my glass shower, but it's now used throughout the house. My glass shower walls are 5.8mm thick, so you'll need to print two hooks and purchase a set of 1" N52 grade magnets to use it safely. The round shaft portion of the hook is approximately 8mm in diameter. I bought my magnets from K&J Magnetics; I buy them in pairs, but they're also available singly or with varying strengths. Here are the magnet part numbers: RC22CS-P-N52: A 3/4" outer diameter x 1/8" thick magnet with a countersunk hole for an #8 screw. RX033CS-P-N52: A 1" outer diameter x 3/16" thick magnet with a countersunk hole that accepts an #10 screw. You'll need the following flathead screws (18-8 SS): * 8/32 x 1/2" * 10/32 x 1/2" The screw threading holes are slightly larger than standard drill size; they're 4.5mm in diameter for the 1" model and 3.2mm in diameter for the 3/4" model. I use a screw to thread the holes, not a tap, and have had no issues with screws coming loose or stripping during installation.
