Magnetic Gear Toy

pinshape

Refrigerator magnet learning gear toy I built for my niece and nephew. Each gear features a number of teeth printed on it along with a marker indicating one tooth, making it easy to teach division ratios and basic counting. After printing the orange gears, I realized that a handle was essential for grabbing and spinning them, so I edited it into the STL file. The chamfers at the bottom serve two purposes. Firstly, they allow little fingers to easily pull gears off the fridge, while secondly, they create a neat circular shape for the first layer. Post-Printing Assembly: After printing, I cleaned out the holes with drill bits of suitable sizes. Parts: * 1: gear * 1: https://www.kjmagnetics.com/proddetail.asp?prod=MM-D-12 * 1: 10mm M3 shcs * 1: M3 washer How I Designed This I created the design on Onshape and it's available in a public folder.
