Magnetic Flexible Build Plate System for CR-10 Mini

This is my magnetic build plate system for CR-10 Mini. I created a design that emulates the Prusa i3 MK3's magnetic build plate without permanently modifying the heated bed. This system uses four magnet mounts placed between the leveling springs and the build plate. The rear left magnet mount differs slightly to avoid interference with the heated bed cabling. It is designed for 8mm x 3mm cylindrical magnets, but you can modify it to fit your available magnets. The magnets are glued into the mounts. For my build plate, I purchased a sheet of spring steel from McMaster-Carr (Wear-Resistant 1095 Spring Steel, 0.0300" Thick, 10" Wide, 1 Foot Long). The sheet was approximately 1mm thick, but you could likely use something thinner to achieve greater flexibility. I glued a low-cost build surface to the top of the sheet and made a small cutout at the rear left to avoid interfering with the heated bed cables. My heated bed is relatively flat, but I placed a few sheets of aluminum foil in the middle to level out my build surface. If your build plate is severely warped, you can insert a piece of glass between the build plate and the heated bed, adjusting the magnet mounts accordingly. All components are printed with PLA without any issues related to contact with the heated bed. The SolidWorks files are available for remixing purposes.
