Magnetic Filament/Bowden Guide
prusaprinters
I added a top-feeding PTFE tube pass-through to my enclosure so that I can print directly from my dryer. I also left the original spool holder and filament guide in the enclosure for occasional PLA prints. When I want to swap filaments, I just unload one, swap tubes and go - but that leaves one tube dangling around in the enclosure, which I really don't love. The solution for my problem is this little guide. I just stuck that to the enclosure in a fitting place and when I swap tubes, I put the unsued one in the clip so that it's out of the way.I guess one could create all kind of fancy filament routing systems with this, but so far I haven't done that, so I dont know if the magnets are strong enough to stay in place when filament is actually pulled through the tube. Maybe stronger magnets could be helpful. You will need two round magnets with a size of 5mmx3mm - you can get those cheap on Amazon. They should fit quite snugly, but one could potentially use some superglue to make them extra-unextractable.
