Magnetic Effector for 10mm steel balls
thingiverse
This is my remix for magnetic effectors using 10mm steel balls on the effector. I will attempt to glue the balls because they do not have a thread. If you possess M4 threaded 10mm balls, you can utilize the holes for screws. The delta effector offset is 35mm. The rod spacing is 50mm; I do not believe the spacing can be smaller than that as it would collide with the fans. Also, thanks to kirill91 for publishing the step file of this awesome design! EDIT 1: If your rod ends have a large diameter, the tube will crash on the fans, therefore I created a version 2 that should fix the problem. EDIT 2: The version 3 should eliminate all problems with interference of the rod ends. The distance from center of the ball to the nozzle should be approximately 50mm with a genuine E3D V6 with the effector v3, 40mm with the effector v2 and 30mm for the v1; I think yours may differ as the hotend is not always the same depending on the assembly, sometimes the nozzle is too high or too low, this can easily be in the +/-2mm range and more, so be aware of that. EDIT 3: I printed a version which has the whole fan thing cut away and only uses the base effector plate as I wanted to have an effector with more changability in design, but so far everything works fine; the only difference to this one is that it does not use the fans on top. The base effector works, so this one should work too.
