Magnetic drill or hotgun holder
thingiverse
I decided to make a modified version of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4074170 using magnets for added functionality.\r\n\r\nTo keep it firmly in place on my workbench leg, I attached small strips of craft foam using hot glue.\r\n\r\nAnother one was created to serve as a holder for my hotgun, and it works perfectly!\r\n\r\nFor the magnetic components, 60mm x 10mm x 3mm magnets from https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B6NX5NP were used (two per item).\r\n\r\nSuper glue was chosen over the provided mounting tape due to concerns about its durability.\r\n\r\nWhen installing the magnets, exercise caution as they tend to attract each other strongly.\r\n\r\nTo avoid a messy situation with superglue, I applied it to one magnet at a time and installed them sequentially.\r\n\r\nTemporary duct tape can be used to hold down the second and third magnets while allowing them to bond securely.\r\n\r\nTo prevent the magnets from jumping together during installation, slide each subsequent magnet into place while holding it down firmly.
