This guide is to help you get a straight angle before you start drilling. It is not meant to be attached while drilling. The guide will slide up and down the drill bit. Push it carefully against the surface while adjusting the angle of your drill. When the three legs are touching the surface, you're good to go. 4-10 mm drill bits have been tested and found to work perfectly.
