thingiverse
This is a version of an magnetic clip for the DragonLock 3D tile system. This is based off DragonLock Dragonbite Clip, which can be found here; https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/206435/DRAGONLOCK-Ultimate-DragonbiteTM-Clip-v30 I printed these on my Creality Ender 2 pro with White eSun PLA+ filament. This clip use an 3mmx2mm cylinder magnet. These can be found on Amazon; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NRH97D9?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 The magnets fit in snug on this clip, no glue necessary. If you want, you can use an small dab of glue to insure they don't come out (just make sure you get the polarity of the magnets correct first). Polarity of the magnets is important for a good hold between the tiles. You'll want one side to have North Pole facing out, and the other side having the South Pole facing out. First, mark the top of the clips to identify the top of the clip. There is an small indentation on the clip and this can be used to identify the top of the clip. Marking it with an sharpie works well, and aids in quick identification of the top of the clip. Insert one magnet in one side, and then flip the next magnet over and put into the second hole. Once you have one clip done, place it into an floor tile (make sure you clean out the support material in the clip hole. Take two more magnets and let them attract to each magnet on the clip in the floor tile. You can then push another clip onto these magnets. If you flip the second clip over, it should slide to one side of the first clip. If it doesn't, then you may not have the magnets flip around correctly, If one side clips to the tile, but one side is up a little, you know that side needs the magnet flipped around. Getting the magnets poles correct is the biggest issue at first. But once you get their orientation correct, they will hold the best when they are all in place. Key is to insure the clips are put into the tiles the same way (Top mark to the top of the tile). Once you have the clips into the tiles, the pressure from the clip in the tile will aid in keeping the magnets inside the clips.
