Magnetic Door Switch Holder

We developed a custom solution at work for a project that needed a magnetic reed switch on a door too thin to accommodate the conventional mounting method. I designed this holder to let you install the magnet directly on the door's face while still keeping the switch closed when the door is shut. This design is tailored for the RC36 switch, widely available from retailers at around $2-$3. The magnet hole measures approximately 7/8 inches in diameter. I created three variations: MH00 is the basic magnet holder MH-H05 features a horizontal offset of 1/2 inch from the base MH00 holder MH-V05 has a vertical offset of 1/2 inch from the base MH00 holder These designs were crafted using Onshape software.
