Magnetic Dodecahedron Box
thingiverse
This is a dodecahedron box that prints separately in two halves, easily assembled using 2mm x 6mm neodymium magnets to snap the halves together. Intended for cutting panels with a laser cutter and then gluing them in place, I've also included an STL file for the panels, allowing you to try printing them out as well. The idea is that they might turn out cool with some clear filament if you put a light inside, creating an intriguing effect. To assemble this model, it's recommended not to use super glue, as it will leave a weird foggy residue behind if acrylic panels are used. Instead, I used Loctite 608 gel glue, but epoxy or hot glue could also be suitable options. The unique feature of this design is that you can print it without supports if you orient the magnets facing up.
