Magnetic Dice Box, Tray, and Tower

Magnetic Dice Box, Tray, and Tower

myminifactory

This is a comprehensive dice box, tower, and tray set combo. It comes with a drawer that can hold 7 different types of standard dice including d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, and d20, each capable of holding at least 7 dice. I used it with my collection of 49 dice, consisting of 7 dice for each type. Several holes are designed on the drawer to accommodate 8x1mm magnets, which facilitate securing the drawer closed and keeping the tower together when in use. For magnet polarity, refer to the provided pictures. Choose a direction to call south or north and maintain consistency. I've included multiple versions with and without designs. To create a full set, you'll need a tray top, tray bottom, drawer, and each tower piece. This print requires at least a 200mm bed; see printing details below for instructions on how to print a complete 200mm object using Cura. I printed it using Hatchbox Wood Filament and the online Wood Grain tool, then sanded and stained. I used this website to create the wood grain effect. The tray bottom and top have holes designed to fit 1.75mm filament, acting as alignment pins when gluing together. Due to a tolerance of 0.3mm around the drawer, if you encounter issues or your printer has worse tolerances, consider printing the drawer at 99.5% scale. The tray top has an extra depth of 2mm for felt lining of the tray. I've included source files for easier modification and .stl files for the tower with no designs to allow for custom design addition. This is a reupload of my dice box on Thingiverse (link provided). Visit there for community-made versions, remixes, and troubleshooting comments.
