For my Garmin Nuvi 850 GPS, I created a magnetic mount by customizing another model's design. I added a ball joint for a proper fit and combined the base and ball with superglue, ensuring the right size through scaling. Finally, I inserted a rare earth magnet from an old hard drive into the recess on the base.
