Magnetic Cup Holder - Contigo and Yeti
prusaprinters
Basic magnetic cupholder I used when I drove haul truck. Stayed on the doors and cab through large bumps without issue. I recommend ABS if you want a tough one but PLA works just fine. I found PETG to be too brittle in cold weather. Printed anywhere from .42 to .1 layer height with no issues (Prusa mk3s and Bambu X1C). Magnets are slightly recessed. I recommend using a ductile adhesive like hot glue or gel adhesive to hold the magnets in as the flex of the plastic will break brittle adhesives like super glue. I also recommend very thin adhesive-backed rubber tape to keep the cup holder from sliding around (gorilla duct tape also works great). I used 60x5x10mm neodymium magnets The Contigo versions have drainage holes on the bottom. Hardware:3x 60mmx5mmx10mm neodymium magnet Adhesive Backed Rubber Printing:Upright orientation 15-30% infill, Square/Grid/LinesNo supports needed Any non-flexible material AssemblyUse a liberal amount of glue/adhesive so the cavity is filled after the magnet is insertedRecommend flipping the middle magnet so the outer two are attracted to itPut any ferrous metal on the inside of the cup when left for drying. Curved files work great for this. Magnets are not recommended for this Scrape-off access glue so there are no high points
