Magnetic Coupler for filament guide (3030 extrusions)

<p>I used this magnetic coupling on my old Prusa i3, and found it very convenient to use.</p><p>On my new VCore 3, I mounted a spoolholder on top and needed a reverse bowden for the filament path. Since I also want to use my Palette Mosaic with the printer (and maybe an ERCF in the future) I wanted it to be easy detachable if needed.</p><p>The base plate fits to a standard 3030 extrusion and can be mounted with a M5 or M6 screw. The arm of the filament guide can be rotated as needed.</p><p>Print the parts in PETG with 4walls (0.4mm nozzle) as well as 0.2mm layer for best result. No supports needed.</p><p>In the base plate you finde a sacrificial layer to help print the hole. just drill it open with a 4mm drill after the print.</p><p>For the arm you need a M3 insert as well as a M3 8mm to 14mm screw (whatever you got, the hole is deep enough).</p><p>The magnet is OD=10mm, ID=4mm, height=5mm and is a press fit into the arm.</p><p>Make sure for correct orientation.&nbsp;</p><p>Best solution as I found is, that all mountings on the frame or on devices show the north pole (for example). So the reverse bowden has south poles on both sides.</p><p>That way you will never have a problem connecting your components.</p><p>Last step is to cut a small piece of PTFE tube and press it into the magnet . Than cut it flush with a knive.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>For the hand grips of the reverse bowden, just place a magnet on the mounted arm connector and press it in. Getting the PTFE tube inside is now the hardest part, because it is also a press fit.
