I came across a post on Reddit about a Magnetic Collar Quick Disconnect for Dust Collector, specifically designed to fit 2-1/2" hoses. The creator of the original idea deserves credit, and I hope they share their design with the community. To bring this concept to life, I quickly created an STL file using CAD software. Designed to work seamlessly with 8mm x 3mm magnets available on Amazon, the collar features recessed screw holes for easy mounting as needed. While this is still a work in progress, I'm confident that it will be functional and ready for print once I've had a chance to test it out this weekend.
