magnetic chess set made to print on the MK3
thingiverse
Here's a magnetic chess set made specifically for printing on the original Prusa MK3. To print this set, you'll need the following round magnets: * Three 8-10 mm long x 6 mm magnets * Ninety-six 5-6 mm long x 4 mm magnets I purchased these magnets from Gearbest at a reasonable price, but be warned that shipping can take some time. I used a superglue gel that takes about 30 seconds to bind instead of the super glue that sets in just 10 seconds. It's essential to ensure that each magnet is installed correctly. If you insert one upside down, you'll have to start over from scratch. Before printing the chess pieces, I recommend testing them with the plates printed at 101% size. You can also try pushing the magnets into the holes on the board with your fingernail to decrease their strength and then applying glue before placing the pieces on top. One thing to note is that the holes in the chess pieces are slightly too large, making it challenging to glue them in place. Decreasing the print size to 99% might help create tighter fits.
