Magnetic Chaos Dice Case
myminifactory
This is a magnetically sealed case I designed for my Chaos Dice (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3058094). It uses ten 3mm cube magnets in total, five per side, which I secured with a tiny dab of superglue on the bottom side of each to keep them locked in place. If you don't secure them properly, they will pop out when the extruder passes over them. You must ensure all polarities are matched before sealing the case from any position because once they're glued in, they won't come out. Additionally, make sure you know how to pause a print since it'll take around a minute or two to get them all in and a few seconds for the glue to dry before resuming the print. My set was printed on a Prusa i3 MK3 using slic3r and loaded into ColorPrint (https://www.prusaprinters.org/color-print/), which is very easy to use. I attempted to use Colorfabb Bronzefill for the case but found it difficult to achieve the desired detail on top, so I opted for Hatchbox Copper PLA instead. It complements the 14-hour tumbled Bronzefill dice made with my KitchenAid Rock Tumbler (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3108867) nicely.
