This Magnetic Carriage is designed for StrongPrint printers and can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:329498. It utilizes Supermagnete's 15 mm donut magnets (http://www.supermagnete.fr/eng/R-15-06-06-N) for its magnetic bearings, which offer three significant benefits: no play, quick assembly and disassembly for easy part replacement, and the ability to disassemble in case of clashes or out-of-range movements, preventing damage to the machine, especially the print head. For added safety, contact wires can be fitted to detect any loss of connection and alert the control unit to stop or hold the print job. If using a heavier print head, consider stronger magnets for optimal performance.
