Magnetic Cable Organiser

Magnetic Cable Organiser

thingiverse

I had a simple magnetic cable organizer designed specifically for my desk and the Anker USB-C cable I owned. The desk is 30mm wide, but in theory this design can be scaled to fit any desk size. However, it's easier to create a new version that fits perfectly, so I'll look into designing an OpenSCAD model for it in the future. This organizer currently uses two 3x6mm N52 Neodymium magnets. A bonus feature is that even if you don't print the part for your desk, the cable section will stick to any ferrous surface - anything magnetic. This includes screws on tables, cabinet handles, and lamps! The .gcode files were modified to include a pause and park command to make it easier to install the magnets. If your printer supports it, you can add this line prior to the beginning of the sealing layer: "G1 X50 Y200 M0"
