<p>I thought I'd make an update to my daily carry <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:66327">card case</a>.</p> <p>The lid is held in place using small magnets I picked up at Home Depot, they seem to be pretty standard size (8mm x 3mm) so they should be easily sourced.</p> <h3> Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Printer Brand:</strong></p> <p>MakerBot</p> <p><p class="detail-setting printer"><strong>Printer: </strong> <div><p>MakerBot Replicator 2</p></div><strong>Rafts:</strong></p> <p>No</p> <p><p class="detail-setting supports"><strong>Supports: </strong> <div><p>No</p></div><strong>Resolution:</strong></p> <p>0.2mm</p> <p><p class="detail-setting infill"><strong>Infill: </strong> <div><p>50%</p></div></p> <p><strong>Notes:</strong></p> <p>The case can be printed at a lower infill but I wanted something a little more sturdy.</p> <h3> Post-Printing</h3> <p><strong>Insert Magnets</strong></p> <p><div><p>The <a href="http://www.homedepot.com/p/MASTER-MAGNETICS-0-3-in-x-0-11-in-Neodymium-Rare-Earth-Magnet-Discs-10-per-Pack-07045HD/202526363" rel="nofollow">magnet</a> (8mm x 3mm) holes are 0.3mm larger than the magnet in all dimensions. So they should press fit pretty tight into the case. </p> I dropped a dot of super glue in each hole before pressing in the magnet which seems to be holding well.</div></p> </p></p></p> Category: Office
