This thing is a holder for a terra cotta brown sugar saver. It has a place for a 15x2mm magnet on the back, which is meant to stick to the metal plate in the lid of the ProKeeper+ storage containers from The Container Store. If you have a different kind of container without the metal plate, just glue a magnet inside the lid (make sure the polarity orientation matches the magnet you put in the holder). Or glue this thing directly to the lid.
