After purchasing the magnetic broom from Harbor Freight Tools, it soon became apparent that the simple threaded attachment point on the handle was woefully inadequate for actual sweeping tasks. In order to move the broom around efficiently, the handle needed to rotate freely in relation to the "broom." With a 3D printer, a bolt, a nut, and another nut, this problem can be easily resolved. Zip ties to secure the swivel handle attachment point are optional but highly recommended. A bolt size of approximately M8 will suffice, although any other size that fits is acceptable; a moderate amount of looseness is perfectly fine. This versatile tool is extremely useful for numerous construction and destruction projects, and at least one has been given away as a gift to friends or family. The hardware shop teacher was thoroughly impressed with his new acquisition. For those who may be unfamiliar, Harbor Freight is a supplier of tools that offers affordable prices but not necessarily the highest quality. As this particular tool does not undergo high stresses, it tends to last an exceptionally long time. Consequently, the 3D printed parts are slightly oversized for the stress they endure.
