Magnetic Bracelet Clasp

Magnetic Bracelet Clasp

I use this clasp for my own bracelet designs. I accidentally swam in the ocean and got out with my bracelet still on. That's how well it works! It's a bit chunky and probably works best on larger bracelets. Closed (while wearing) its 6mm high, 30mm long and 16mm wide.it is held closed by a rather ingenious (if I say so myself) design that combines 4 small magnets (2 on either side) to hold it together in one direction (vertical) while the slot and bar prevent movement in the other direction. The holes for the magnets are 3.5mm in diameter by 3mm high to fit a 3X3 neodymium. In Australia you can get them here: https://magnet.com.au/products/neodymium-disc-3mm-x-3mm?_atid=yoAZS1xoT68WIN5xSkl2uSGEIYirM2 The post where the bracelet attaches to the clasp is 11.6mm. This is quite a bit narrower than the overall width. This is due to the fact I originally designed this for a specific bracelet I was working on. It's probably best if you make your bracelet the 16mm the clasp is wide and make it narrower where it attaches... It's up to you of course! EDIT: The STL for the female side of the clasp (LP_Mag_Clip_F.stl) needs to be flipped over in your slicer to allow printing without supports.
