I'm excited to attempt my first magnetic bearing project, with a simple 2-part design housing rare earth magnets. The outer ring holds 10 magnets, while the inner drum boasts 8. I sourced the magnets from AliExpress - you can find them at http://2ld.nz/46. Check out this YouTube video for more insight: https://youtu.be/_xxpsctNPcQ. Additional details and items have been added to enhance understanding. Notably, my magnetic bearing is not a real one, as I had doubts about its legitimacy. However, the positioning of magnet edges between the outer and inner rings creates an intriguing phenomenon. The pulling force between them balances out the rings, effectively locking the inner ring in place like it's levitating.
