**Parts Needed** [3 mm x 12 mm neodymium disc magnets](https://www.homedepot.com/p/MASTER-MAGNETICS-1-2-in-Neodymium-Rare-Earth-Magnet-Discs-6-per-Pack-07046HD/202526367) [Badge loop with ISO standard eyelet](https://www.amazon.com/Plastic-ID-Holder-Eyelet-Lanyards/dp/B01GOUWHEG/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=pvc+badge+loop&qid=1570497071&sr=8-1) **Design Overview** I required a 6-card badge holder and had magnets and a badge loop at hand. This is what I came up with. It uses the badge loop as a hinge for the two parts, and snaps shut using the magnet on either side. **Magnets and Credit Cards Safety** I conducted some basic research and found that credit cards are safe if the magnets are more than 1.5 mm away from the magnetic stripes. This design should accurately account for this distance. I will be testing the design with my own cards, and I'll update on any issues I encounter. For the record, usage began on October 7, 2019. **Customizing Your Design** [Fusion 360 File:](https://a360.co/30V1cZ1) You can use this file to customize your design. Unfortunately, due to the magnets, the overall design cannot be made any thinner. However, you can easily adjust the inner dimensions to fit more (8 or 9) or fewer (recommended > 2) cards. If you are more comfortable with designing in F360, you can also make the overall design thicker to fit even more cards.
