This part replaces the back cover on a dial indicator and has openings for four 0.3 in. x 0.11 in. (8mm x 3mm) Neodymium Rare-Earth Magnets. This allows you to attach the indicator to the bed and use it as a precision measuring system when boring, etc. The magnets can be purchased at Home Depot in packs of ten. (SKU #631954) The four mounting holes for the cover screws are extremely small and may need to be enlarged to the correct size after printing. The holes for the magnets are slightly undersized so they can be pressed into place rather than glued.
