Magnetic Arms for the Rostock Max Printer
thingiverse
This printed magnetic arm set is designed for Rostock Max's magnetic effector. It consists of 6 arms, each requiring two connectors, one rod, and 4 magnets. To assemble, print six rods and 12 connectors using PLA at 0.6mm skin, .25mm layers, and 0.07mm bed roughness for optimal fit. Start with one rod and two connectors to familiarize yourself with assembly before proceeding. Insert magnets into the connectors, ensuring the same polarity. Attach the connectors to the rods, aligning filament holes (1.75mm). Secure the filament in each hole with a soldering iron, taking care not to burn fingers. Watch the video for guidance on assembly. Remember, the connectors also fit 3/8 carbon fiber rods if preferred.
