Magnetic Armours - Preliminary version
grabcad
My name is Alexia Coronel, I am a mechanical engineering student at the Faculty of Exact Sciences, Engineering and Surveying (FCEIA) of the National University of Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina (UNR): FCEIA-UNR (https://web.fceia.unr.edu.ar/es/)This is a preliminary version of a practical work for the subject M-25 Synthesis of Mechanisms and Machines, directed by Professor Marcelo Valderrey | GrabCAD (Marcelo Valderrey), and corresponds to the edition of this subject taken during the first quarter of 2024.It is a work based on the tutorial Conceptual Design Challenge: Artificial Gravity for Human Colonies on the Moon and Mars (Conceptual Design Challenge: Artificial Gravity for Human Colonies on the Moon and Mars). As I have already mentioned, this is just a preliminary version, in which I aim to present the first sketches that came to my mind after analysing the task. In this case, I present "Magnetic Armours", which proposes that astronauts could wear special clothes that have magnetic inserts. In this way, if we generate a magnetic field by using electromagnets, the suit (and therefore the person) will be attracted to the floor, superficially emulating the gravitational effect. For further details, please read the documents attached (english and spanish versions are available).
