Magnetic Aquarium Clamp
thingiverse
If you're tired of suction caps constantly falling off the walls of your aquarium, there's a practical solution available. A clamp uses magnetism to securely hold heaters or pipes against the wall. It relies on 8x3mm neodymium magnets placed on both sides of the aquarium glass - inside and out. Neodymium magnets are particularly prone to corrosion, so it's recommended that the submerged part gets duct tape applied to the bottom and trimmed around the edges. The magnets have a protective chrome coating, but it's better not to take any chances with your fish's health. This design is specifically tailored for 21mm diameter heaters, but you can also use small zip ties to hold pipes in place. If you need a clamp for a different diameter, just leave a comment and I'll see if I can assist you. All I ask in return is that you post the make of your final print.
