Magnetic 100mm and 150mm filter mount adapter

This allows 100mm and 150mm square filters to be securely attached to these filter adapters:\r\nhttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2945377\r\nhttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2945769\r\n\r\nIt is only compatible with the specific system outlined.\r\n\r\nThe filter is encased in a sturdy frame with embedded strong magnets (6 for the 150mm filter, 4 for the 100mm). These can then be snapped onto an adapter which also features embedded magnets. These magnetic mounts are securely attached to the top of a traditional style filter mount or can stand alone.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic adapters are remarkably secure and reliable, can be fully inverted and gently shaken without dislodging. Four pins help to prevent the adapters from sliding off. Use them with confidence.\r\n\r\nDesigned and printed with ABS, please note that other materials may affect fit due to shrinkage or lack thereof.\r\n\r\nBest results are achieved when printing in Black.\r\n\r\nTested with Lee 150mm polarising filter, and Haida 100mm Neutral density filter.\r\n\r\n\r\nYou'll need:\r\n\r\nM4x10-12mm countersunk screws x16 for 150mm frame. x8 for 100mm frame.\r\n\r\nM4 nyloc nuts x14 for 150mm filters. x6 for 100mm filters.\r\n\r\nNeodymium magnets 20x10x2mm – x14 for 150mm frame. x10 for 100mm frame. These are the listed measurements for the magnets I used, which were slightly smaller than expected.\r\n\r\nFour additional M4 countersunk screws to securely fix to main adapter (length varies depending on configuration).\r\n\r\n\r\nTo assemble:\r\n\r\nPrint part A and B of desired frame size.\r\n\r\nPress magnets into their slots, ensuring the same polarity is maintained. \r\n\r\nInsert filter into frame A, secure together with frame B using screws and nuts. Holes may need to be drilled out with a 4mm drill bit first.\r\n\r\nPrint Mag mount adapters x2, insert magnets into each slot- double-check polarity with the filter frame, if only using 100mm filters the center slot can remain empty.\r\n\r\nOptionally, bottom cover can be glued or bonded to the mount adapter, checking magnet polarity with the frame first!
