I came up with the concept for this magnet holder after watching a video showcasing polymagnets. Specifically, that company is able to "print" multiple magnets onto the surface of a single blank magnet by alternating north and south faces. This technique yields some fascinating interactions, such as a latch or a spring. You can find examples of these magnets on YouTube (https://youtu.be/ftXLjHBzyU4 and https://youtu.be/kie9LixKnH8). To replicate this project, you'll need to purchase the following materials: * A set of 200 strong N52 neodymium magnets available on eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/200-MAGNETS-4mm-X-2-cylinder-disk-STRONG-N52-rare-Earth-Neodymium-US-SELLER/122399786060?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649) * A 3/8" size dowel that can be found on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006O6QYO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).
