Magnet Safety Box
thingiverse
I have several 2" x 1" x 1/2" N42 block neodymium magnets [(see example here)](https://www.kjmagnetics.com/proddetail.asp?prod=BY0X08) at work, and storing them has been a pain. These magnets, if stuck together, are very difficult to separate, sometimes resulting in smashed fingers. On top of that, they're brittle and may shatter. I designed this box to store magnets safely, one magnet to a box. The box has a tight-fitting lid. The magnet fits in a recess in the box. With the lid closed, the box creates enough dead space around the magnet so separating them from each other or ferrous objects is much safer and easier. Adjacent boxes are easily pulled apart.
