Magnet Mounting plate Thingy (25mm conduit)
thingiverse
This is a 25mm conduit remix of the MPCNC.\nUPDATE: Solidworks part included.(check the RAMPA nuts for size... the BIG holes)\nThis mount plate is mainly designed for myself, but you might find an idea in it to inspire your own project. The magnets used are neodymium magnet bars that I purchased online; be careful as they are extremely strong.\nThe rest of the z-axis can be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1560494\nSpecifications for the magnets:\nneodymium magnet bars with a diameter of 5mm and lengths of 8,5mm, 14mm, and 25mm.\nSpecifications for the screws:\nThe holes on top use M5 screws to secure heavy-duty tools. The "RAMPA nut" is included in the pictures. Smaller ones for M3 fit perfectly in holes cleaned by a 4,5mm drill (use it slowly with PLA material).\nThe sides require drilling with 4,5mm for M3 bolts (for extra mounting points). The top two holes are for big RAMPA nuts and M5, while all other holes are for magnets - four 8,5mm and four 14mm.\nMeasurements for a tool plate are included. Mounting points should be heart to heart at 75mm apart, with both having magnets at the top. A locking mechanism will later be added to the tool plate (still brainstorming ideas).\nThese magnets are very strong, so place them carefully near metal objects; they might launch towards whatever is nearby.
