This is a sturdy mount for a Neodymium disc magnet. Currently utilized to keep the steel lid of our compost bin securely up when disposing of food waste, it could be repurposed anywhere a robust magnet is required, such as a tool holder or general-purpose magnetic door latch. Measuring 19 x 3.5 mm in interior dimensions (equivalent to roughly 3/4 x 1/8 inch), this compact design is versatile and functional. Design and Production Created using Rhino 5, this magnet mount was then printed on a LulzBot Mini with Cura software using natural HIPS material. Key print settings included an extruder temperature of 240C and a bed temperature of 60C. High quality print settings were utilized in Cura to ensure the intricate details and fine features of the part are preserved.
