Magnet Maglev Train and Tracks

Magnet Maglev Train and Tracks

I designed this working maglev train for my daughter's 2nd grade science fair project, where she won first place. We employed 1/2 by 1/4 by 3/8 Neodymium Magnets to create the train and track system. The magnets fit into channels on the car and track, securing in place with a built-in tab at each end. We used 11 magnets for the larger track, 9 for the smaller track, and 3 for the car itself. To ensure stability, we added lead weight to the bottom of the car. Next, we carefully placed all necessary tracks with their respective magnets, then glued them together in a single line. Have fun building and experimenting! Print settings: Rafts - Disabled, Supports - Disabled.
