Magnemite - multi part print
thingiverse
Made up a quick magnemite model last and figured it was good enough to share with all of the internet. If you want a life size Magnemite, 200% scale should be just about perfect. the model is made in many pieces to allow for easy painting and printing and to be just a little poseable as there are slots for mounting its magnet arms. the back is attached via the alignment block found in the "tips-pupil-block" file and should give you a perfect and almost invisible seem between the body and the back. The additional small blocks on the "magnets" file are for attaching the magnet arms to the main body. Just pose the little guy in place and glue them in. I recommend printing all the rounded parts in as low a layer height as possible to get the best finish as gradual curves are always tricky. I also recommend making the screws with a small layer height to allow for a smooth interaction with the threads on the body. If you like the model, please let me know what you think by leaving a comment or posting a picture of your make. I always love to see that someone has made my design. Edit: new screw files uploaded when I found my clearances were too small to fit them in place. Also uploaded a "whole" file just in case you wanted to print all the parts at once. (fits on a 220mm square bed)
