Magnetic Fidget Spinner Unveiled: Measuring Speed with Magnets. As the rotational speed surges, the magnets migrate further from the central axis, which can be utilized to assess the speed of the spinner. Required Components: 1. Ceramic 608 Bearing: A non-magnetic bearing is essential; if it's magnetic, the magnets will adhere to it, introducing considerable drag. 4. 10mm x 8mm Cylinder Magnets: Other lengths might function, but exercise caution, as these are robust and somewhat brittle. 4. 6mm x 3mm Cylinder Magnets: These smaller magnets are embedded in the spinner's ends, opposing the larger ones for optimal performance. Manufactured with Filamentum Vertigo Gray (courtesy of Prusa Research).
