We experience occasional power outages, so I created this stopgap solution. Realizing its potential as a camping accessory was an added bonus. The Maglight offers a lantern option by simply removing the focus head and using it as an ambient light source. However, the pin light is too bright, prompting me to design this cover lantern and stand. One of its best features is that everything is collapsible and can be used without any affixing materials. This solution consists of four components, all part of the Maglight system: 1. The bottom stand secures the Maglight in place, preventing it from toppling over. 2. The bottom ring of the lantern accommodates a sheet of paper that slides into position without requiring glue or any other fixing device. 3. The top ring keeps the paper in place and ensures a smooth cylinder shape. 4. A piece of paper for diffusion can be used; any A4 size will fit, even one printed or drawn with your own design. Everything simply slides into place, making this solution easy to set up and use.
