Magisso Cloth Holder Rubber Gasket

We have always loved our Magisso stainless steel washcloth holder for the sink that we picked up at FinnStyle many years ago. The unique design adheres to the inside of the sink using very strong magnets that attach to a backer piece that you position up underneath and outside the sink wall. This means you don’t have to drill a hole to mount it, yet it is strong enough that it stays put. However, a month ago, we moved, and the Magisso was sticking so tightly that as I removed it from the sink, even without the backing magnet, it would not come off. The rubber layer that grips the sink was degrading and tore apart as I removed it from our sink! This is where 3D printing with flexible filaments can really save the day. After we moved, I cleaned up the part by removing the remaining rubber. I quickly designed a replacement and it’s a perfect fit.
