MAGICUBE - the lamp you can choose what it should look like!!

One time I saw the Tetris Lamp on a webpage and it looked really cool, but you couldn't choose the color of the elements. Then I got the idea to make a lamp where I could choose the colors myself. The Magic Cube Lamp can do exactly what I wished for. The user can organize the cubes (35x35 mm) as they like and also choose the color of each cube, which depends on how the sides are snapped together. I thought about how I could make it possible for a cube to have different colors. My solution is that per side there are six super-magnets, with two positive and negative current magnets. The four magnets in the middle are actually nothing more than a switch that connects another cube's positive wires to an LED when you attach them together. The next step I had to think about was how I could construct the cube so it would be easy to solder. The easiest solution is to print the cube spread out. After you've soldered the cube, you can easily fold and glue it together. The LED in the cube is a diffused RGB-LED. You can print as many cubes as you like and put them together to create a nice-looking lamp. I made six cubes for this prototype.
