MagicToolbox wire drag chain
thingiverse
I printed a few links of Gythrals Drag Chain and took some measurements from it. I wanted a little bit more space for my wires, but most of all I wanted a guide that would help hold the chain in the middle slot of 20mm Aluminum extrusion. (Think chain saw chain.) As the chain lays down on the extrusion, it is less likely to move from side to side. I also added centered holes for 5mm hardware to hold it in place on the extrusion. There are several versions of ends, two of them have a thin center ridge to help keep them in the right place on the extrusion, two are flat to mount where the ridge isn't necessary, and two more are upside down ends in case that helps mount to the mobile part. The odd file names are the male ends, the even file names are the female ends. I have also now added a couple of ends that work specifically for the 3018 to keep the wires in the right places. Each regular link is approximately 15 mm. I used 17 links to get the range of motion that I wanted. I added this to my 3018 build to keep the gantry wires in check.
